According to semcblog, one of the many unofficial Sony Ericsson blogs, the Swedish-Japanese company intends to make an announcement on November 6. The announcement seems to have been confirmed; it will reveal the launch of a new Walkman slider, the W705 (aka Rika), but also a new music accessory, the MBS-900.

Leaked info about its technical specs reveals that the W705 is just a medium Walkman series handset encased in an aluminum compound. The new slider form factor handset embeds the same highly-appraised Clear Audio Experience function, which improves the quality of music played we met on W902 and W980 handsets.

More features include 240x320 pixels resolution display, Wi-Fi, YouTube client, FM radio, built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS function, 3.2 Megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash, 120MB internal memory, but also a 4GB M2 memory card that will come for free in the sales package.

The phone will be available in two different colors: Passionate Red and Luxury Silver. Also, the same unofficial blog states that an Orange branded version will also be announced at the same time, or at least in the near future.

There's also a new music accessory to be announced on the same day, the Wireless Portable Speaker MBS-900 with Bluetooth 2.1 Home Audio System. It targets music lovers and may become the perfect device to come with the new Sony Ericsson W705 handset. It is reported that the MBS-900 features touch controls and an OLED screen.

There is no word about the price of any of the devices soon to be announced, but they should be available starting with February 2009. Fortunately, the mystery will be revealed no later than tomorrow, November 6.
