When it comes to rumors regarding some high-end mobile phones that are expected to make an appearance on the market in the not-too-far future the mill never stops. This time around it is Sony Ericsson Idou that was caught in the act, and it seems that the upcoming handset might be ready to hit the shelves as soon as October this year.

The news comes from an article published on mobile.se, which says that a German PR representative for Sony Ericsson has stated that the device will come to the market in October, with November being the fall-back date. The manufacturer hasn't yet confirmed the rumor, as Gustaf Brusewitz of Sony Ericsson Sweden only stated that the company was set to have the device available on the market “sometime in the second half of the year.”

Hopefully, the Japanse/Swedish joint venture will manage to get the device out on the market well before Christmas, something that would prove rather great for it as it somehow needs to get back on its feet after marking some not-so-great quarters and being rumored to be on the verge of breaking up.

As many of you might already know, the Sony Ericsson Idou is expected to come running under the Symbian operating system, while sporting a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, GPS capabilities and a high-quality 12-megapixel photo snapper.

Given the device's expected features, it is no wonder that one would enjoy having it during the winter holiday season, so the handset might see great traction from the public in case the company indeed manages to release it at the beginning of the fourth quarter of the ongoing year. Say tuned to learn more details on this high-end mobile phone as soon as they become available.
