Or at least that's what we hope

The MSN China website has recently become a place where long awaited but still unreleased phones are listed, without any specifications, prices or details about an official launch. Besides Sony Ericsson P3i and Motorola E9, the Chinese websites list Sony Ericsson M610 too, also known as Sony Ericsson Lizy.

The handset was approved by FCC a few months ago and several pictures of it were made public, but there is no official release date announced yet. Still, a prototype of the phone appeared on the eBay Germany website, on sale for the starting price of 1,000 Euro or $1,440.

Now, since MSN China lists Sony Ericsson M610, we can hope for an official release. The phone works on the Symbian UIQ 3.1 OS and it's created mainly for business use. It is said to have a lot of features like Handwriting recognition, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Media player, FM Radio, Memory Stick Micro card slot and Jog Dial Navigation. It weighs 116 grams, measures 106 x 55 x 17 millimeters and has a QVGA 262K Color Touchscreen at a 240 ? 320 pixel resolution.

The handset is a 3G UTMS 2100 triband GSM 900/1800/1900 device that comes with a QWERTY keypad resembling the one used on Sony Ericsson M600: the buttons are "split" in two for each letter. What's a bit disappointing about Sony Ericsson M610 - and we mentioned this before - is that it lacks a photo camera. Maybe the producer thought a business man doesn't really need a camera, but still... a high-end mobile phone is weird without camera. And it's not a weird-in-a-good-way kind of weird.

Putting aside the missing camera, Sony Ericsson M610 is a handset long awaited by many mobile users and the fact that it was listed on the MSN China website should mean the phone will hit the market soon.
