On the same Chinese website that has listed Sony Ericsson's P3i

It took Motorola more than 1 year to actually be able to launch the rumored E9 model. Press pictures and some of its specifications were leaked in October 2006, but no one knew when it would actually be available. We almost forgot about Motorola's E9 until today when the Chinese MSN website listed the handset as a Preview. The site hasn't disclosed any specifications or info about its price.

Even if there are no specs revealed on the Chinese website, let's take a look at the information leaked about it one year ago. The upgraded version of Motorola's SLVR line-up, Motorola E9 features slim and stylish design. If it had been launched 1 year ago, the handset should've been impressive with those 10 mm thickness. Nowadays, slim mobile phones under 10 mm thickness have become standard for users. The exact measures of the phone (112 mm x 47 mm x 10 mm), even if not official yet approaches those of the SLVR series handsets.

Nevertheless, the phone looks cool and features a 2.4'' QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels resolution), 50 MB internal memory and microSD slot card for memory expansion (up to 2 GB). The high-end 3.2 Megapixel camera seems to be out of the ordinary for Motorola, which didn't bother to include such high quality cameras onto its handsets.

The most impressive aspect about Motorola E9 model is that it features Wi-Fi 802.11 b /g connectivity, which enables user to easily connect to the Internet whenever near a hotspot. Furthermore, it is compatible with Bluetooth 1.2 with A2DP standard for streaming music to compatible headsets.

There's no launching date specified on the Chinese website or anywhere on the Internet, but let's hope it won't take Motorola another year to actually make the handset available on the market.
