White and gold

Besides preparing to unveil brand new products, Sony Ericsson is also readying new color versions for two of its handsets: the slim W890 Walkman and the entry-level K330. More exactly, the W890 will soon be available in a gold edition, while the K330 in a white one.

Neither of the new colors are confirmed by the Swedish-Japanese company, but according to the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog, they will be on sale pretty soon.

Of course, you might already know that the K330 is not available for the moment (in none of its versions), as the handset was first announced just last month, together with the 8 Megapixel C905 and other three new phones. At that time, Sony Ericsson said that the K330 would only come in black/gold and black/green, but it seems that the company thought a white version would also be attractive to users.

Coming as a simple candybar, Sony Ericsson K330 could be quite successful among those who don't want to pay too much for a mobile phone. Sure, the handset is far from being an evolved one, but it still packs a range of useful features, like FM radio, torch functionality, SMS ands MMS, organizer, calendar and so on. The K330 (including the new white version) should hit the market at the end of the summer.

Available since February, Sony Ericsson W890 is a 9.9 millimeter thin Walkman phone that comes with lots of nice features, including Walkman Player 3.0, HSDPA connectivity for data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, NetFront 3.4 browser, email and Instant Messaging, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a 3.2 Megapixel camera and a 2GB memory card included in the package.

The new gold color of W890 does not cover all of its surface, but only the back case, the rest remaining in the already known metallic silver. Still, this is a nice change of look. We should expect to see the gold W890 on sale in the next few months.
