New leaked photo of the slim-phone

So, it seems that the Sony Ericsson Ai W880i will actually be coming with this design after all, as new photos of it have recently appeared.

While the phone appears to be pretty solid, with the brushed metal casing, the keypad doesn't seem all that easy to use. Truth be told, a very similar type of keypad has been used before, on the P900 and now on the P990 as well, therefore it might not be hard to use at all; but, at least in the case of the P series phones, you could also use the touch screen if the keypad proved to be too inconvenient.

As for the design of the phone, I can simply say that it surely can't be considered impressive, and while the phone really is pretty thin, measuring only 9.4 mm, that's all this phone can really boast with in the end.

According to rumors, the phone is bound to be released pretty soon - maybe even by the end of this month - and, with its release, more detailed information regarding its features is very likely to appear as well.

Although, as I have said before, this mobile phone isn't really that interesting, a pretty great number of people seem to already like it and anxiously expect its release, which is why the W880i might be a great success after all.

And while judging from the photos initially presented, not that many phones really impress with their looks, maybe a live W880i phone will surprise everyone with an easy to use keypad and a nice and smooth design. Or maybe it's just supposed to be a mid-range phone with a decent set of features that can be bought for a more affordable price.
