We've already talked about Sony's 3D-capable Cyber-shot digital cameras, but those were only the tip of the iceberg, really, since the Japanese company also unleashed a whole lot more compact digicams in its W, H and T-series Cyber-shot lines.

The W series has received the most new additions, Sony introducing at CES 2011 the DSC-W510, DSC-W530, DSC-W560 and DSC-W570 models, all of which deliver quite an interesting set of features, including 26mm equivalent lens with 4x optical zoom, the Sweep Panorama mode, as well as SteadyShot image stabilization that reduces blur.

Additional features worth mentioning about the Cyber-shot W series include the iAuto mode that automatically optimizes camera settings plus Face Detection and Smile Shutter technology, all al of the models in this family being available in the $110 - $180 price range (which makes them quite affordable, all things considered).

Next in lines comes the T series Cyber-shot family, that's received a new member, the DSC-T110, touting a 16.1-megapixel CCD sensor, a three-inch LCD with touch screen, Sweep Panorama mode and 720p HD movie capture, all for around $230.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll also have to mention that Sony's H- series also got an update, the company releasing the DSC-H70 model, that offers users a 16.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 10x optical zoom, 720p video recording, a 25mm wide lens, as well as the Sweep Panorama feature and Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, all for around 230 US Dollars.

“For the first time, consumers will see advanced technology features like Sweep Panorama mode, HD video capture and bright, wide-angle lenses integrated into models across the Cyber-shot line at some of the most affordable price points,” said Kelly Davis, director of the Digital Imaging business at Sony Electronics, when talking about the major improvements brought to the Cyber-shot series digital cameras.
