As just about everyone expected, Sony came quite well-prepared for this year's International CES, rolling out a very large number of interesting multimedia devices, including a few additions to its Bloggie pocket camcorder lineup, namely the Bloggie, Bloggie Duo and Bloggie 3D models.

Of course, the main attraction of the new Bloggie lineup is the Bloggie 3D camera (MHS-FS3), that comes equipped with two lenses, two CMOS image sensors, stereo microphone and built-in LED light.

The camera can record both 1920 x 1080 Full HD 3D or 2D MP4 videos and 5-megapixel still photos, the 3D content being played back either on the device's own glasses-free 2.4-inch 3D display or on any 3D HDTV or PC monitor or stored within the camera's 8GB internal memory that allows for 240 minutes of HD video recording.

Additional features worth mentioning include the digital 4x zoom lens and Auto Focus/Auto Macro (4-inch), free style shooting/playback w/ auto-image rotation, SteadyShot image stabilization, and Face Detection.

Next in line comes the Bloggie Duo camera (MHS-FS2) that comes equipped with two LCD screens, 2.7-inch on the back and 2.0-inch on the front under the lens, that allow users to easily record themselves either in Full HD video or 5.1-megapixel still photos.

Last, but certainly not least, Sony also updated the basic Bloggie version, MHS-FS1, adding some of the advanced features we've mentioned earlier, including 4GB of internal memory (similar to the Duo).

“As the popularity of pocket cameras grow, we not only wanted to provide simple, compact video and photo solutions, we wanted to make these devices fun and different while still delivering a high quality product,” said Andy Bubala, director of the camcorder business at Sony Electronics.

“With Sony paving the way for 3D entertainment, that technology was the perfect addition to the Bloggie family and robust offering of 3D solutions,” Mr. Bubala concluded.

The Bloggie (MHS-FS1) and Bloggie Duo (MHS-FS2) models will be available in March for about $150 and $170, respectively, while the flagship Bloggie 3D camera (MHS-FS3) is set to arrive in April for about $250.
