Sonic is not so fast after all

Looks like everybody's favorite hedgehog and mine won't be coming to PlayStation 3 consoles that soon. This game was meant as a PS3 release title but by the looks of it, SEGA won't keep their word.

According to IGN, the Japanese based company needs some extra time in order to further test the game's downloadable content. Presumably, the Sonic the Hedgehog downloadable content is experiencing quite a few bugs.

The game's release has been pushed from November 14, until sometime in December, but this delay deals only with the PS3 version of the game, the Xbox 360 launch date still remains valid.

Up to now, the Sonic franchise registered a tremendous success worldwide as it appeals to persons of all ages. An important role in its success was played by the game's "E-10" rating and of course, by the crazy blue hedgehog himself.

Sonic the Hedgehog has been SEGA's mascot for over fifteen years, since the 1991 release of the game. The ones responsible for this blue hedgehog are artist Naoto Ohshima, designer Hirokazu Yasuhara and programmer Yuji Naka. Sonic was meant as a rival to Nintedo's flagship character Mario, but you have to admit that SEGA has managed to surpass Nintedo in this category.
