We all know that the PlayStation 3 will be launched this month. Some will get it a little bit earlier and others will have to wait some more. In fact, the Japanese will be the first to try Sony's product, on the 11th, while the Americans will get a taste of it on the 17th.

What is new in PS3 land is that it will require an update from day one. Is it that bad or what? Why does Sony feel that they need to update it from the very beginning? 1up.com reports that anyone who will get their hands on the PS3 will have the possibility of updating their system software to a more advanced version, namely the 1.10 version.

Sony plans to release another update in late November, and this update is meant to enhance PSP and PS3 connectivity. It will improve security features and the way the PSP connects to the PS3. With this update, you will be able to download PSP games on your PS3 from the PlayStation Store.

This update will also unlock the "remote play" feature that will grant users the possibility of controlling their PS3 from a distance using their PSP. But if your PS3 does not have a Wireless LAN adapter, this update is useless.
