Cyber Snipa has come up with a very large number of gaming-oriented accessories over the past couple of years, and now, the company's back with yet another rather interesting offering, namely the Sonar 5.1 Championship Headset.

As its name suggests, the main selling point of the new headset from Cyber Snipa is represented by its advanced, 5.1-channel surround sound audio system, that's sure to seriously boost the level of realism provided games.

Of course, given the fact that this thing is designed for professional gaming competitions, it will also help pro gamers get a much better level of sound from the game, spotting incoming enemies or even better understanding online voice messages from other raid members (in the case of MMORPG titles).

In order to deliver such an impressive level of audio quality, the Cyber Snipa headset comes packed with four different audio speakers inserted in each cup, the 8 individual drivers being able to deliver high-end multi-directional audio response.

The gaming headset also offers users independent channel control via the in-line controller, attached to the 3-meter cable connecting the Sonar 5.1 Championship Headset to a computer.

Moreover, the headset offers a very good level of comfort via its exclusive memory foam padding, while the noise-cancelling boom enables fast, easy and clear communications with team-mates.

Since we've tackled the topic of comfort earlier, we'll also have to point out that the new Sonar headset offers a robust headband construction with mesh padding for improved airflow, as well as velour cushions.

The headset is also accompanied by 3D positional audio software, that will also come particularly in handy during heated games.

According to Cyber Snipa, their brand-new 5.1 Championship Headset should go on sale later on this month (at least on the US market) for a suggested retail price of $79.95, which is actually not that bad a price, especially taking into account the extensive audio features this thing provides.
