Snooki of “Jersey Shore” announces she’s writing her first book, which comes out next year

Just like her fellow co-stars on MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is also working her way up in showbiz, using the reality show as her launching platform. Next up for her: a novel.

In a statement released the other day and cited by JustJared, the reality star announces that she’s currently working on her first novel, which will see the light of day in a year or so.

Understandably, all similarities with real persons and events are not purely accidental.

“The pint-sized Jersey Shore star will publish her first novel early next year through Simon & Schuster, the company announced Wednesday,” JustJared reports.

“Expect to read a tale that ‘revolve[s] around a girl looking for love on the boardwalk (one full of big hair, dark tans, and fights galore),’ a statement said,” the e-zine further notes.

In other words, the book will tell Snooki’s life story, with a touch of fiction on the side.

“I’m pumped to announce to my fans a project that I’ve been working on for some time. This book will have you falling in love at the shore. It’s ‘A Shore Thing!’” Snooki herself says in the same statement.

As we also noted on several past occasions, all “Jersey Shore” stars are using the show as the platform to launch showbiz careers.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is going into fashion, while also planning to give acting a try. In the meantime, though, he’s a contestant on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.

Jeni “JWoww” Farley already has a line of women’s tops out and is now negotiating a deal with Playboy for a spread that will appear in the magazine sometime this year.

At this time, reports claim she’s asking as much as $400,000 to pose for the magazine, which, once more, confirms that the “Jersey Shore” boys and girls are officially the best paid reality stars of the moment.
