Bell is another wireless carrier in Canada which chose to make its smartphones available for free on contract for the next week and a half, following a similar move made by TELUS.

A nice range of appealing smartphones are now available for purchase via Bell for $0 upon the signing of a 3-year term (with bill credit online or instant rebate in store).

“Get savings of up to $99.95 on all smartphones (excluding Motorola Atrix and iPhone 4). Only from Bell. And only on Canada's best network. Hurry, offer ends March 31st 2011,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

The list of handsets included in this promotion would include the BlackBerry Torch, HTC HD7, LG Optimus Quantum, HTC Desire Z, LG Optimus Chic, BlackBerry Bold 9780, Nokia C6 and the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant.

Other devices available for free would include Motorola Dext with MOTOBLUR, Samsung Wave, BlackBerry Curve 3G, Palm Pre, BlackBerry Pearl 3G, BlackBerry Curve 8530, or Samsung Galaxy with Google.

Usually, the BlackBerry Torch and the Windows Phone 7-based HTC HD7 would be priced at $99.95, while the Android-based HTC Desire Z and the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant, as well as the BlackBerry Bold 9780 would go for $49.95 on a three-year contract agreement.

In related news, we learn that Rogers too has put in place a special offer for its customers, waving $100 off the price tag of its smartphones. Thus, some of them would go free, while others would near that value. However, users would have to visit would have to visit a Rogers store to make the purchase.
