Atari needs your feedback

Looks like not all the goodies are exclusive for Xbox 360 users. Just a few days ago, I was thinking that the amount of content available for Xbox Live users is huge. They get all the good stuff, free demos, free content, not to mention beta testing sign-ups.

But now PC gamers' turn has come, with the Test Drive Unlimited beta testing sign-ups underway. FilePlanet and 3D Gamers have announced that they have opened the books for Test Drive Unlimited beta testing sign-ups. For the time being, the beta testing sign-ups are available only for members of the sites.

If you manage to sign-up and get accepted, please note that as a beta tester, you have to provide feedback regarding your gameplay experience, report bugs and issues regarding usability. You know that you will not receive any material compensation for this test, but you will get a chance to experience the game before the rest of the world does.

The game itself will come out for PC, PS2 and PSP in February of 2007, but you may have already played it if you are an Xbox 360 owner as the 360 version was released back in September. Test Drive Unlimited features over 125 licensed cars and motorcycles. What is interesting about this game is that players are able to drive both on-road and off-road, and to challenge any racer they encounter along the way.

Test Drive Unlimited is set in a place modeled after the Hawaiian island of Oahu, and it features over 1000 miles of roads and highways. As the game starts, you are required to purchase a car and a house, then you are free to explore the entire island.
