Shia LaBeouf reportedly threatened a man with a knife during his most recent bar brawl

A few days ago, actor Shia LaBeouf got himself into trouble again, after stepping out alone for a night of bar hopping while in Vancouver, Canada to work on a movie. He got into a drunken fight – and even threatened to pull the knife on a man, it has emerged.

As we also informed you the other day, Shia got into a fight with a patron and both were eventually kicked out of the bar for looking for trouble.

Once out in the street, the patron charged at Shia, knocked him to the ground and started punching him repeatedly in the head – and it was all caught on tape.

Were it not for some bystanders who intervened and prevented Shia from following the assailant, this could have ended much worse.

One of them was Shea Carter, who physically restrained the intoxicated actor and thus prevented him from going after the other patron.

Speaking with TMZ, Carter says Shia was definitely bent on causing trouble: he even threatened him with a knife but, in the star's defense, he never actually took it out (assuming he had it on him).

“TMZ spoke with Shea Carter, the man who restrained Shia after the fight, who tells us he noticed the actor inside the Cinema Public House bar BEFORE the melee. Carter says LaBeouf had been drunkenly swaying into several patrons, including one man who calmly warned Shia, 'Hey man, watch out',” the e-zine writes.

“Carter says Shia replied, 'Oh yea? Or what? What are you going to do about it?' That's when the two decided to take things outside... and the guy beat Shia down to the ground,” TMZ further reports.

Before Carter stepped in to hold Shia back, another man told him to calm down because it would be best for him to “lay low,” as the video below also confirms.

Clearly, the plea fell on deaf ears.

“Afterward, Carter – a local hip hop artist and bar regular – tried to stop Shia from getting back inside, but LaBeouf got aggressive, spouting, 'Well what if I grabbed my knife on you?' Carter says he quickly grabbed Shia in an effort to protect himself in case the knife threat was serious,” TMZ writes.

“Carter says the actor eventually walked away, so he went back inside the bar. But moments later, Carter says, Shia appeared outside a window and made a throat-slashing gesture at him, before leaving for the night,” the same report notes.

Calls for comment to Shia's management have not been returned. Since the incident, the actor has been spotted out and about, with a large bruise on his face.
