Should already be up for sale at a slightly higher price than the original

We talked last month about a new product from Sharkoon that had started to show up online and it looks like shipments are finally being carried out.

Sharkoon has reached the stage where it releases a new product, or at least announces the impending arrive of one, on a fairly regular basis.

Desktop cases are one of the main business outlets that it indulges in, having developed units both big (reasonably, anyway) and small.

Now, the company has issued a press release in which it presents the Vaya Value Edition, which has a few perks over the first model.

The original Vaya was unveiled back in July this year (2011) and was intended as a low-budget mid-tower solution.

The Vaya Value Edition does not really swap this goal for another, but it does, nonetheless, have a slightly higher price tag, of 39.90 Euro ($54, give or take) instead of 25 Euro (US price is $35).

One thing that justifies the higher tag is the existence of a side window, so that owners can check out the state of the insides without having to start dismantling the rig.

The other asset is support for USB 3.0, the SuperSpeed standard of Universal Serial Bus (theoretical maximum throughput of approximately 5 Gbps).

Two color versions have been introduced (black with red LED on the front and white with blue LED on the front fan).

As for everything else, users might be interested in learning of the four 5.25-inch drive bays (for optical disk drives or other things) and the four internal 3.5-inch bays (HDDs/SSDs), plus the external 3.5-inch HDD bracket and seven expansion slots.

Finally, the company threw in ODD quick-loading clamps and a bottom-mounted PSU holder, all in a frame of 465 x 185 x 440 mm (18.30 x 7.28 x 17.32 inches, L x W x H).
