As November is drawing near and, with it, the release date for Adam Lambert’s official debut album, more details on the much-hyped project are beginning to emerge in the media. Although this bit is perhaps not related to the album itself, it does have a lot to do with Lambert’s shooting music career – which will be mind-blowing, if we’re to judge from the track he provided for the musical score of “2012,” as Queen guitarist Brian May says on his official webpage.

Most fans already know in general lines what to expect from Adam as a musician on his own, drawing from what they’ve seen of him on the American Idol stage and the subsequent live tour. Still, given the many promises Lambert himself made about the upcoming album, as well as the hype in the media around it, it’s only understandable that fans be on their toes. They shouldn’t be for that much longer, May says, after listening the track recorded for apocalyptic movie “2012,” a mind-blowing song that made him turn to “jelly,” the legendary guitarist says.

“I was privileged to hear a track that the guys have finished for Adam Lambert... a song for a forthcoming film, ‘2012.’ I have to say I was completely blown away... it’s truly sensational.” May writes of the Rob Cavallo-produced track. “In fact it’s so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it. I am not kidding. I’m not easily moved to jelly by male vocalists... but Adam’s voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. It’s an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star.” May adds, not holding back any praises as to what the sample he heard tells him about Adam’s career on the music scene.

Granted, this is not the first time that May sings Lambert’s praises or expresses his belief that he will become a landmark performer of our times, the best of the best. This doesn’t make it any less true, though, fans says. Moreover, from what Lambert himself shares, he too is confident about his upcoming studio album (as a note, as of now, it is not yet known if the “2012” track will also be included on the debut album), as it’s shaping up extremely well.

He has even added one more producer to an already impressive list of collaborators: Max Martin, Adam says on his Twitter page. “Onto to stuff that matters: in NYC to record song with MAX MARTIN!!! Soo excited. This album is getting so great!” Adam writes on his Twitter page. Older Tweets reveal that fans are to expect the first single in October, so keep an eye on this space for more details on this.
