When the last season of American Idol came to an end, many believed Adam Lambert should have won. Many still do believe he was somewhat robbed of the title that should have rightfully been his. Be that as it may, Lambert’s popularity is soaring – and the number of items he sold for Rolling Stone, the issue in which he came out, stands as proof for that, Extra says.

According to the source, the issue that featured “Wild Idol” Lambert on the cover and then the lengthy interview in which Adam was speaking publicly for the first time about his preferences and gave more details about his personal life, is Rolling Stone’s top selling issue this year. Moreover, judging by the many interviews the singer gave since then to the same media outlet, one might easily infer a bond has been forged, since the mag has become the unofficial “official” channel for most updates on Adam’s upcoming album.

Speaking of which, just yesterday, Adam was talking to Rolling Stone on how much he’s grown since Idol came to an end, especially by getting to meet his many fans in the US thanks to the Idol tour that is currently underway. Getting to feel the pulse of the crowd has helped him grow as an artist and as a performer, because he has come to understand that this is what his music should be all about: the fans and the audiences. Because of this, Adam was saying, he was more than eager to come out with the new album, of which he promised it would be “full of suprises.”

“We did a surprising amount of work before the tour started, we had about a month. I got a lot of co-writing done, some great initial vocal material recorded, and just general collaborations with different producers. […] Just clap and scream and have a good time. It’s not about you guys getting my attention, it’s about you living your life in a positive way. When you dance and move around it creates a different reaction from the audience – they love it. And getting a sense of interaction with them, I love that.” Adam was saying of the recent weeks and his work.

Adam Lambert’s debut album comes out in music stores in November this year. For more on this, keep an eye on this space.
