14 DAY TRIAL // Pop star and actress Selena Gomez has been rushed to the hospital for a mysterious condition. Details about the sudden illness are now known right now, but reports have it she was taken ill shortly after a televised appearance.
TMZ was the first to break the news in the media, though word of Selena’s trip to the hospital had already spread on Twitter, with many even saying that Justin Bieber was tweeting when his girlfriend was in the ER.
“Selena Gomez was rushed to the hospital last night, just after she appeared on The Tonight Show,” TMZ says.
No word on whether there’s a connection between the TV appearance and the trip to the emergency room.
“Sources tell us, Gomez was feeling horrible during and after the show, complaining of nausea and a severe headache,” says the same e-zine.
“She was taken to a Los Angeles area hospital and is still there, undergoing tests. We’re told the exact cause of her illness is not yet known,” TMZ adds.
Hours later, Selena canceled a scheduled appearance at Santa Monica Place, an outdoor mall in LA,” the same media outlet reports, which could mean her condition was serious enough to keep her in bed and presumably in hospital for longer.
Given her much mediated romance with Justin Bieber and, most importantly, the romantic vacation she went on with him in Hawaii, voices online suggest she might be pregnant – of course, there are only a few of them.
Last time Selena made headlines, it was at the MTV Movie Awards 2011 last weekend, when host Jason Sudeikis took to the stage and made jokes about her romance with the younger pop star.
As she lowered her head in shame in the audience, Sudeikis told her that she should stop kissing Justin so much because she’d probably already “ate 3 of his baby teeth,” a direct reference at the many times she’d been photographed smooching him in the past couple of weeks.
