Selena Gomez becomes target of death threats after pictures of her kissing Justin Bieber emerge online

Over the weekend, the first undeniable piece of evidence that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are an item emerged, when a series of photos of the two kissing on a yacht surfaced online. Gomez has been receiving death threats ever since.

PopEater reports that, ever since the pics appeared online, Bieber fans (also known as Beliebers) have been very vocal about the damage they’d do Selena if they ever got their hands on her – and all because she was lucky enough to beat them to the punch.

Twitter is literally boiling over with hateful messages for the teen singer, with only a few fans saying the only reason they don’t hate Selena is that she seems to make Justin happy.

The same happened before when Kim Kardashian joked that she and The Biebs were a couple, but, back then, the backlash was less severe probably because of the age difference between the two.

Now that Justin and Selena are nearly the same age and confirmation has come that they’re really an item, it seems there’s no stopping to the hatred his fans are feeling towards her.

“@selenagomez I’ll kill you I swear on GOD!!!!” one fan writes. “@selenagomez [expletive] cancer [expletive]..like I’mm kill myself cuz i saw you and Justin kissing well thankyou Selena thankyou now I’m killing myself,” another rages.

Other girls urge Gomez to stay away from Justin if she knows what’s best for her, or she’ll be dead before she knows it. Some fans still don’t seem to believe the photos of them two kissing are real.

“@selenagomez If you are the Girlfriend of Justin I will Kill you I HATE YOU :@ !!!” an enraged fan tweets.

Though, at first glance, both Selena and Justin may think these threats are harmless, for the simple reason that fans don’t have easy access to them, they should beef up security over them, former FBI agent and security expert Harold Copus of Copus Security Consultants tells PopEater.

“They may look to increase their security. They may factor this into a variety of other information they know about potential threats and figure out where this piece of information fits in the puzzle. If I was running that security detail, this would be on my radar screen,” Copus says.

With fans, you can never be too cautious, he adds, especially if we’re talking a teen idol like Justin Bieber.
