The subject is dead and buried but they won't rest until they bury Sony themselves

Head of Sega's recently formed Sega Racing Studio and director of Sega Rally Revo, Guy Wilday is totally unsatisfied with the PS3's Sixaxis because it doesn't include rumble support. Really now, isn't this a bit old news for everyone? The story about the PS3's vibration lacking controller was ages ago, so why is Wilday digging up the dead? In an interview with PSM3, he stated that "Tilt control's not difficult to do. Fundamentally, though, the whole tilt control thing is rubbish." He also added that "It's no compensation for rumble."

No kidding Mr. Sega Rally Evo director? Is tilting really that bad compared to vibrations? Did it take you long to figure that one out, and most important, did you figure it out by yourself or did you call in a bunch of experts in both rumbling and tilting, in order to make an impression? The thing is, Sony did screw up, giving the PS3 controllers lacking force-feed-back, but let's remember that there were some problems concerning who invented what and who should get all the credit, even from the early beginnings of Sony's PlayStation console.

So naturally, they were a bit more cautious this time and decided to leave the rumbling aside. Although the idea didn't please anyone, it certainly was the best choice for Sony to make, in order to avoid any trouble. So now criticism and bad publicity hits the company every day for something they "didn't do" in the first place, like they haven't had enough already. Still, I would have 2 questions for the Sony team myself: 1. Exactly why did they decide to drop out of the race? And 2. Do they expect us to buy upcoming consoles with yet more "dead controllers?"
