Electronic Arts has launched the second title update for their football simulation Madden NFL 11, fixing some of the problems that the video game had since launch and adding a new game mode called Madden Moments, designed to offer bite sized gaming bits modeled after real life simulation.

Those who play Madden NFL 11 will be prompted to download the patch next they start the game, whether they are gaming on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft or on the PlayStation 3 from Sony.

Madden Moments is free for everyone and allows the gamer to take on specific challenges that have been created using important moments from the real life NFL season.

At the moment all the playable bits are based on the last season struggles of the New Orleans Saints team and Electronic Arts is saying that about two two four moments will be added each coming week until the end of the current season.

All coming moments can be picked up using Madden coins individually or as a pack.

The new title update also fixes bugs, with a full list to be found in an official post on the Madden blog, and players will now be able to use the same buttons they did in Madden NFL 10 to change hot routes, to make line shifts and change other aspects of their team set ups.

Electronic Arts has been working on the current patch for quite some time but it seems that the approval process for gaming consoles delayed its launch.

The developer is also working on a new title update that will come at the end of September and will fix more issues that gamers have been facing.

Electronic Arts has already stated that Madden NFL 11 has been selling better than its predecessor by about 5 percent and the company believes that its big sports launch will top the NPD Group video game chart which is set to be released this week.
