The new Scosche solVUE solar-powered Bluetooth speakerphone, on the other hand, provides users with a green way to make and receive handsfree calls while driving.

The solVUE announces and displays the name of up to 1000 contacts, while its integrated solar panel continuously re-charges the lithium ion battery.

The solVUE also features an internal accelerometer that automatically turns the product on as users enter their vehicle and users can places calls with one-touch voice dialing while the DSP echo cancellation technology ensures a clear conversation every time.

“iPads and smartphones are expected to be popular gift ideas this year and we want our customers to get the most out of their new mobile device,” said Kas Alves, executive vice president of Scosche Industries.

“The kickBACK P1 provides protection for that new $500-800 iPad, while the solVUE offers users a safe and green way to make and receive calls in the car,” Scosche's rep added.

The kickBACK P1 and solVUE are available now for $59.99 and $109.99 respectively, which makes them some pretty interesting options for this year's Christmas shopping season, especially if you're planning to get a gift for an iPad owner.
