Internet users are advised to beware of scams that leverage the buzz surrounding the royal baby of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

So far, there aren’t any reports about such scams, but experts believe it’s imminent, since all major events are one way or the other leveraged by cybercriminals and fraudsters.

“Sadly, it's almost inevitable. It is going to be such a huge news story, the bad guys will jump on the bandwagon,” noted security expert Graham Cluley.

Promises of exclusive videos and pictures, and other royal baby-related content should be treated with maximum caution.

Even the UK’s Action Fraud has issued a warning.

“Exclusive Pics! – Don't fall these scams on Twitter… only use trusted news channels as your source of information,” Action Fraud wrote on Twitter.

This wouldn’t be the first time when cybercriminals leverage the fame of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Back in 2010, when they announced their engagement, crooks used black hat SEO techniques to lure users to Fake AV websites.
