A couple of weeks ago, reports emerged that former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff had again been rushed to the hospital after one of his daughters found him unresponsive in his home. He was then placed in a psychiatric unit under involuntary hold, it was also said. His former wife Pamela Bach is now urging fans and all those who know David to stage an intervention and save his life, Radar Online informs.

Fans will know that, each time rumors of another trip to the ER emerged in the media, they were almost immediately denied by the actor, who insisted he was great and that he had not fallen off the bandwagon yet. Bach seemed to put up a united front with her ex as well, but she now feels that the time has come for her to break her silence, especially since this type of behavior and David’s severe issues with alcohol are taking too much of a toll on their two daughters.

So, she’s pleading with everyone who knows him in the hope that something will change. An intervention must be staged somehow, Bach says in a statement to the aforementioned media outlet, so that Hasselhoff doesn’t end up paying with his life for his addiction. At the same time, the lives of their two daughters are at stake because they’re constantly exposed to his drunken behavior and, on more than a couple of occasions, had to call 911 as their father had slipped out of consciousness.

“The despair, feeling hopeless and unable to believe that things can ever change with David’s alcoholism over the years has affected our whole family. We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change. We ask David’s fans, supporters and handlers to take swift action to save this wonderful man’s life. I have always been close to my daughters to comfort and support them as well always being there for David. We will be forever hurt from this cruel disease. I am grateful for our two daughters who have been incredibly brave, strong and protective souls,” Pamela Bach says in the statement released to Radar Online.

As also noted above, until now, the estranged Bach has never made any comment on whether Hasselhoff had caved in to his addiction again or not. Word in the industry has it that the statement has a lot to do with her arrest for DUI, just days after Hasselhoff’s visit to the hospital. As for David himself, he’s yet to make any statement regarding his ex’s public plea, but keep an eye on this space for when he does.
