About a couple of years ago or so, Pamela Bach and former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff were in the midst of one of the most bitter and most publicly so divorce battle showbiz had ever witnessed. Today, Bach’s name makes the headlines again, this time for being arrested for driving under the influence, as TMZ informs.

Bach’s arrest comes only days after her estranged ex, with whom she shares the custody of their two daughters, was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious in his home. The causes of Hoff’s state range from alcohol poisoning to having had some kind of seizure, according to reports in the media. The arrest was also connected to said hospitalization, Bach says, in that it confused her enough to make her get behind the wheel after drinking.

“David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife, Pamela Bach, had her own issues with alcohol last night [Saturday] – we’ve learned she was arrested for DUI... and she will probably do jail time. According to law enforcement sources, Bach took a breathalyzer test and blew a .14 and a .13. She was taken to Van Nuys where she was booked and released.” TMZ says. “I am remorseful and mortified. I am going through a really difficult time between David being in the hospital and dealing with the divorce,” Bach says in a statement for the same e-zine.

“Bach added that she was trying to comfort her daughters earlier in the evening, then went to dinner where she had a few drinks. According to official documents, bail was set at $15,000. Bach said she was released on her own recognizance and will attend an AA meeting today. Bach was busted for DUI in March, 2009, pled no contest and was placed on probation. A second DUI in California gets you mandatory jail time,” TMZ further adds.

Since the news broke, Bach has already been to one AA meeting. Her ex, though, might be in quite a pickle, with some reports in the US tabs suggesting that he’s been placed under involuntary hold, pending psychiatric evaluation to see whether he’s not a danger to himself or others.
