14 DAY TRIAL // Reports about the possibility of this happening have been making the rounds ever since Sandra Bullock first confirmed that she had filed for divorce from Jesse James in the aftermath of the cheating scandal. Now, the National Enquirer says (story via here) that it has it from very reliable sources that Sandra has forgiven Jesse and has even agreed to put the divorce on hold.
Adopting baby boy Louis also had a lot to do with it, insiders dish for the tab, since Sandra initially wanted to become a mother with Jesse by her side. This considered, as well as the fact that James professed to be very sorry for what he’d done and how he’d messed up his life in the Nightline interview, it’s not that surprising that Sandra has decided to give their marriage another go, the spies claim. Divorce proceedings are on hold until the two work things out.
“For now, she’s stalling on the divorce. I think she has forgiven Jesse and she is missing the life they built together, particularly now that she has Louis. Sandra must be tired of carrying the burden of what happened and probably realizes that she could free herself by forgiving Jesse. I think holding on to the pain by not forgiving him was getting to be too much of a strain on her…” one spy, professing to be a friend of Sandra’s, says for the tabloid.
The same insider claims Sandra couldn’t simply deal with the idea of not giving Louis the family he deserved and she had planned for him. Though she said a while ago, in an interview confirming the adoption, that she planned on being a single parent, the thought of raising Louis alone eventually got to Sandra. And then, there was James’ Nightline interview, which truly made her see she and Jesse still had a chance of making it work and, more importantly, how sorry he was.
“Seeing him so earnest and vulnerable really touched her heart… She’s wrestled with the idea that family life is never going to be as good if they aren’t together. Sandra was incredibly upset that the plans she and Jesse made to raise Louis were turned upside down. The truth is she can’t stop thinking about a future when all of them could be one big happy family again. Sandra has put the divorce on hold for the time being, but Jesse knows she could have a change of heart and reverse her decision at any moment,” the spy adds.
