South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is reportedly aiming at moving a number of more than 10 million Samsung Galaxy S II handsets before the end of the year.

The new device, which has just become available in South Korea, was unveiled during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, with a dual-core application processor inside, and a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

The mobile phone arrived in the company's homeland market via three wireless carriers, and should be officially released in the UK on Sunday through the country's largest wireless carriers.

Samsung’s JK Shin is the one who confirmed the company's plans during the aforementioned launch in the home country.

10 million units might seem like a high target, but the company already managed to reach the figure with last year's Galaxy S, and might easily reach the milestone with the new smartphone, which is even more appealing.

The original Galaxy S smartphone was launched on shelves last June, and has sold over 14 million units since, a recent article on Samsung Hub reads.

The new Galaxy S II does offer a wide range of appealing features and capabilities, including crisp, high-resolution images on its large touchscreen display.

Samsung is aware of the phone's capabilities, and plans on making sure that customers are aware of it as well, as the new video ad available with the mobile phone shows.

The first commercial we saw with the mobile phone was also focused on the high-resolution touchscreen display of the device, as is the new ad, the fifth one that Samsung released into the wild.

Of course, the display is not the only impressive hardware that Galaxy S II comes with, as Samsung also packed it with a 1.2GHz CPU inside, as well as with 16GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, an 8-megapixel photo snapper, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS receiver, and the like.
