South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung electronics is one of the companies expected to launch at least a few devices powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system, and a few new details on some of these handsets have just emerged into the wild, along with new photos and a FCC approval.

We've already had the chance to take a look at one Samsung device running under Windows Phone 7, since the company was among the first to come out with prototype devices for the new mobile OS, but it seems that the newly spotted devices are a different bread.

The handset that can be seen in the photo to the left is said to be a second Windows Phone 7 device from Samsung, beside the already leaked/rumored/spotted Samsung Cetus I917, which should be put on sale in the US via AT&T.

However, there are some suggesting that this would be the one and the same device in the end, which is different than the Samsung Taylor with WP7 developer device sent into the wild with the unfinished OS flavor on board.

According to a recent article on pocketnow, this could be a new Windows Phone 7 device from Samsung, which would pack an AMOLED display like the Samsung Cetus, but which won't sport a front facing camera when lading on the market.

There are no specific details available on what this device, if different from Cetus, would actually include, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for more info on it to emerge.

One thing that is certain here is that the release date for the first Windows Phone 7 device from Samsung is getting nearer, especially since Cetus received both Bluetooth SIG and FCC approvals.

This mobile phone would definitely land at AT&T, since it comes with support for 850/1900MHz 3G frequencies, as the FCC listings unveiled.
