The smartphone was launched in the second quarter of 2006 and is available in retail shops all around Europe. And as of now, it is also being offered by Vodafone UK.

The slim and light Samsung i320 is easy to use with only one hand, and the QWERTY keyboard it features, that has become quite popular among smartphone users, should prove to be great for messaging.

Samsung i320 runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 and comes equipped with a 65k color 2.2 inch display with a 320 x 240 pixel (QVGA) resolution, a 1.3 megapixel camera and a media player that supports Mp3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, WAV and OGG audio formats and MPEG4, H.263, H.264 and WMV video formats.

It also features a pretty large 120 MB internal memory, and as in the case of the majority of mobile phones released during the past year, it also has a MicroSD card slot that will provide the user with extra storage space if needed.

As for connectivity, the tri-band GSM GPRS and EDGE capable phone also comes with Bluetooth support. As mentioned before, Samsung i320 shouldn't prove to be inconvenient in any way while being carried around, weighing only 95 grams and being only 11.5 mm thick.

While Samsung i600, available in the USA as Samsung Blackjack and expected to be released in Europe in the first quarter of this year, will also provide 3G, it will be significantly more expensive than the i320, therefore, if video calling isn't a must for you, the latter will probably be more convenient.
