Lightest 3G QWERTY phone will be available in the first quarter of 2007

Samsung Elctronics and Microsoft launched Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 powered 3G mobile phone, Samsung Ultra Messaging i600, the first smartphone to support HSPDA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access).

I600 is not only smart, it also comes in the smallest package a 3G phone with a full QWERTY keyboard has come in so far, measuring only 11.8 mm in width and weighing as little as 99 grams thus gaining the title of 'world's thinnest 3G smartphone with a full QWERTY keypad'.

Running on Windows Mobile 5.0, the handheld allows the user to have access to Microsoft Mobile software, such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and more and makes document editing or mobile e-mail easy to use.

Samsung Ultra Messaging i600 is not only a device one can use while at the office, it also helps the user stay in touch with the family or friends, or have fun, by listening to stereo-quality music and viewing video clips on the 2.3" color screen the mobile phone features. Samsung I600 is also equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera that can record video on the back and a VGA camera in front, built-in voice recognition, WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity. The i600 will be available in Asia Pacific and Europe in first quarter of 2007.
