Since Barbie's also been an IT engineer at some point in its very long life, the people over at Samsung have decided to make a little surprise to the famous doll's fans and released a special “Barbie” edition of their X180 notebook.

We have to admit that this idea is quite a cool one, especially since there are plenty of people out here who've grown-up playing with these famous dolls, so purchasing a notebook that reminds them of their youth.

Plus, we must not overlook the fact that plenty of teenagers might go for it as well.

The most visible feature of the new “Barbie” edition is represented by the sticker placed right on the rear side of the display, that depicts a seriously stylized Barbie (let's face it, the actual dolls never looked that good and classy).

However, that's not the only Barbie-related detail this thing will come packed with, given the fact that the notebook will apparently be accompanied by a special Barbie-inspired mouse pad, mouse and a cosmetic pouch (since, after all, one has to look their best when working on their Barbie-notebook).

On the inside, very few things have changed compared to the standard X180, which means that the special-edition is built around the same Intel Core i3 330UM CPU, accompanied by the GeForce 310M graphics card.

Additional features worth mentioning include the 500GB HDD, as well as the Bluetooth 3.0 module, that will enable Barbie fans to connect just about any of their external accessories (Barbie-related or not) to the X180.

According to AkihabaraNews, Samsung's X180 Barbie Edition notebook should hit the shelves across South-Korea around Mid-March, pricing being set at an estimate 960,000 Won (roughly 850 US dollars), which, to be honest, is not even that high a price, especially since we're talking about a limited-edition targeting a fairly specific market segment.
