South Korean electronics giant Samsung was rumored recently top plan bringing to the market a series of new display solutions, and a new such screen has just emerged into the wild. Following news on a possible 7-inch Super AMOLED screen that might be marketed starting with next year, reports on a 4.5-inch Flexible AMOLED screen from the company started to emerge.

The same as with the larger touchscreen display, the 4.5-inch Flexible AMOLED screen is expected to make an appearance as soon as next week at the FPD-International conference in Japan

The event should take place from November 10th to the 12th, and Samsung is reportedly gearing up to showcase various screen technologies there, including the new 4.5-inch Flexible AMOLED display.

This is not the first Flexible AMOLED screen the company came up with, but previous solutions boasted only small resolutions, up to WQVGA (400 x 240 pixels), while the new one should go up to WVGA (800 x 480 pixels).

According to a recent article on Samsung Hub, the South Korean mobile phone maker confirmed that the display has a radius of 1cm, and that it is capable of playing content with minimum ghosting.

The new hardware solution, along with the aforementioned 7-inch Super AMOLED screen (which is expected to enter productions in mid 2011, and which might be packed inside a future Galaxy Tab), are only two technologies Samsung would bring on the floor at the FPD-International conference in Japan. The company is also expected to showcase there a On-Cell 3D WVGA LCD Display, as well as 14-inch Transparent Display and Dual play game mode Display solutions.

Unfortunately no other details on the said 4.5-inch Flexible AMOLED display were unveiled for the time being, though the company should say more on it at the show.

Hopefully, it would manage to make the screen available on handsets, small tablets and similar devices in the near future.
