One of the first Samsung smartphone to be delivered with the latest bada 2.0 operating system, the Wave 3 has just made its appearance in the UK.

The folks over at UnwiredView spotted the phone at online retailer King Of Gadgets, which is now taking pre-orders for Samsung Wave 3.

Customers who wish to reserve a SIM free and unlocked Wave 3 smartphone must pay no less than £399.99 (about $630 or 460 EUR) upfront.

Unfortunately, the online retailer has yet to announce the availability of the device, but promises that “the release date will be available soon.”

Although the phone is a bit overpriced, there's a high chance that the phone will be offered by multiple UK carriers at much better prices.

Unveiled back in August, Samsung Wave 3 is expected to hit shelves this month, but Samsung has yet to introduced it on the market.

Also known as Samsung S8600 Wave 3, this the company's bada flagship device and it seems to be priced accordingly.

The phone is equipped with a single core 1.4 GHz processor and packs 3 GB of internal memory, along with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Wave 3 has a brilliant 4.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution, which is protected by Gorilla Glass display.

Aside bada 2.0 platform, the smartphone runs Samsung's TouchWiz user interface and the latest Samsung ChatON messenger.

In addition, the device sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, face, smile and blink detection, image stablilization, 720p HD video recording capabilities, as well as a secondary VGA front facing camera for video calls.

Samsung Wave 3 drains energy from a high capacity 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that should provide up to 480 hours of standby time or up to 8 hours and 30 minutes of talk time.
