South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has just unveiled some additional info on the availability of its latest flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S II, on various markets around the world.

The company announced that the new device is already available for purchase in Germany, and that it would arrive on shelves in Russia as soon as tomorrow.

Italy is another country which should receive the new mobile phone soon, on May 25th, to be more precise, with pre-orders already live in the country.

At the same time, the mobile phone maker announced that Samsung Galaxy S II should be released on shelves in Taiwan in June, and that users in the country would be able to pre-order it starting with June 1st.

The smartphone would sport a price tag of 649 Euros in Germany, while being priced at 31,900 rubles in Russia, for the 16GB model, and at 34,900 rubles for the 32GB flavor. In Italy, the mobile phone would cost 599 Euros, Samsung Hub reports.

When it comes to the Russian market, we should also note that only select stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg would receive the device tomorrow, and that nationwide availability would kick off only from May 19th.

The specifications list of the Samsung Galaxy S II would remain unchanged in these markets, starting with the large 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, and going all the way to the fast 1.2GHz dual-core application processor it packs inside.

The smartphone also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0 capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

On the back, the mobile phone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper, with support for HD video recording capabilities, complemented by front-facing camera for video calling.

The Samsung Galaxy S II runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, with Samsung's own TouchWiz 4.0 UI on top of it.
