In Q2, all the owners of Galaxy Note smartphones from Samsung will be able to benefit from the goodies that Google’s latest OS version – Android 4.0 – has to offer to them.

The South Korean mobile phone maker has made it official that its Galaxy Note smartphone will get a taste of the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system as soon as the second quarter of the year.

Moreover, the company also released a video teaser to provide users with some more info on what the said software update will be all about. You can watch the clip below.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich should arrive on Galaxy Note devices with exclusive S Pen optimized applications, as well as with a series of improved multimedia capabilities.

“S Note, an unique tool that combines your notes and sketches with other digital content, giving you a new way to create your own stories,” the leading handset vendor teases.

“Also includes innovative shape- and formula-match functions, instant digitization of tables and grids, and knowledge search engines.”

The new Ice Cream Sandwich operating system will also arrive on Samsung’s largest Android-based handset with a new look and feel.

Moreover, it will also provide users with better performance when compared to the previous OS flavor, as well as with features such as Face Unlock, Snapshot, Photo Editor and more.

Launched in September last year, Galaxy Note is the largest Android handset in the world. The device has proved quite popular around the world, though sales haven’t been as high as expected.

However, Samsung is working on making the device even more appealing than before, and the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich OS flavor should help.

The South Korean mobile phone maker is also focusing on making the device as much known as possible, and has partnered with Rovio, the maker of Angry Birds, to include an exclusive GALAXY Note level in the new Angry Birds Space game.

The level is available on all GALAXY devices, complemented by a special package of 30 challenging levels in "Danger Zone".
