A new mobile phone coming from South Korean handset vendor Samsung has made an appearance at the Federal Communications Commission, sporting the model number SCH-i510 and expected to arrive on shelves at Verizon in the near future.

Apparently, this mobile phone is set to hit the market under the name of Stealth V, and should offer support for Big Red's 4G LTE network.

The FCC filing shows that support for LTE connectivity was included into the mix, along with CDMA capabilities, which suggest that this device is indeed on its way to Verizon Wireless' network.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Verizon Wireless did announce during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas plans to launch a Samsung phone on its LTE network.

However, the carrier did not unveil too many details on this smartphone, either than that it would run Android, and the actual name of the handset is still unknown at the moment.

The new SCH-i510 handset that was recently spotted on FCC's hallways might soon become that device, it seems.

The Samsung Stealth V is expected to land on shelves with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display on board, as well as with Samsung’s dual-core Orion processor inside.

Moreover, the mobile phone should also include an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with 1080p video recording capability, along with HDMI out and a micro USB port.

The usual smartphone capabilities would also be there, such as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, headphone jack, GPS receiver, accelerometer, microSD card slot, and the like.

The new Samsung device is reportedly running under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, though it should taste an Android 2.3 Gingerbread update later this year.

Since the device has already received the necessary FCC approvals, it should not be too long before Verizon makes official some more info on it, including a release date and a price tag, so stay tuned for more.
