Samsung is one of the leading manufacturers when it comes to TV-enabled mobile phones and seems to be aiming for better by releasing more advanced handsets while at the same time also improving the design. The SGH-P930, an upgraded version of the P920, is a DVB-H TV mobile phone that sports a unique swivel design and will provide the possibility of watching TV regardless of where the user is at any moment.

Users will be able to watch TV in landscape mode on a large 2.3 inch screen with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and enjoy the picture in picture function that lets you watch 2 channels at the same time.

Aside from its TV-capability, the Samsung SGH-P930 also comes with several features including 3G and HSPDA support for high-speed data transmission, a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities and TV-out.

The phone also includes a media player with support for AAC, AAC+ and MP3 file formats, digital power amp and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion that enables users to store more music than the internal memory allows.

All in all, it's a pretty nice device with quite a few multimedia features that will keep the user happy most of the time. The SGH-P930 was showcased last December at the ITU Telecom World 2006 in Hong Kong and has already been released in Italy through mobile operator Telecom Italia.

Users from Singapore will also get to see the DVB-H mobile phone in stores in the second quarter of this year when the handset is scheduled to start shipping. The release of such phones might establish Samsung's position as a leader on the worldwide mobile TV market.
