The new build also adds new touch AF function for the Remote Viewfinder

Quite a few new firmware versions have been released this week, and among them we can find Samsung's new iterations of its NX300 and NX2000 SMART camera firmware.

The new Samsung NX300 build comes with a few important features that will improve your camera response speed and ease of use. First of all, the Remote Viewfinder option, which allows you to control your camera using your smartphone as the viewfinder, has received two new functions that will surely be of good use at any time.

After you update your camera firmware, you will be able to take advantage of the new “touch AF” function, which allows you to quickly focus on the desired object or person by simply touching your smartphone’s display.

In addition to that, you will also be able to choose your streaming image quality right from the Remote Viewfinder app thanks to the newly added option. Furthermore, the connection between the camera and your Android smartphone has been improved to facilitate quick camera commands.

Other notable enhancements for the Samsung NX300 digital camera that come with version 1.33 are: improved movie recording when Framing Mode is ON and a better manual focus performance for 60mm and 85mm lenses.

Build 1.12 for Sammsung's NX2000 SMART camera comes with a few notable improvements as well. Among them we can spot a better compatibility with various SD memory cards as well as an improved pattern noise of Waterfall mode.

This firmware also boosts connection speed with Android smartphones, manual focus performance of 60mm and 85mm lenses, and movie recording. In addition to that, the new NX2000 firmware v1.12 fixes a few small bugs that affected the camera's operability.
