Samsung NX30 was announced by the South Korean manufacturer a few days before CES 2014 opened its doors to the public and comes with a more SLR-inspired look than its predecessor, the NX20.

At the moment of the announcement, Samsung did not disclose the camera's price and availability, but US customers are now able to pre-order it from Amazon or BHphoto at a price of $999.99 / €730 for the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS lens kit.

According to the listing on Amazon, the camera will start shipping to the first customers who pre-ordered it on February 18.

Samsung NX30 packs a 20.3MP APS-C CMOS image sensor and hybrid NX AF System II, just like the company's NX300 interchangeable lens digital camera model.

Furthermore, NX30 features a tiltable XGA 2,359k-dot EVF (electronic viewfinder), 1/8000 of a second shutter speed, and 9fps in burst shooting mode. In terms of video capabilities, the camera is able to capture 1080p Full HD video footage at 60 frames per second.
