With less than a week left until one of the most important events of the year, the Consumer Electronics Show 2014, opens its doors, South Korean electronics maker Samsung announced the previously rumored NX20 successor, the Samsung NX30 interchangeable-lens digital camera.

The new NX30 model has a more SLR-inspired look and sports the same 20.3MP APS-C CMOS image sensor as well as the hybrid NX AF System II as Samsung's NX300 digital camera.

If you're passionate about action sports, the new Samsung NX30 will surely fit your needs as it features a fast 1/8000 of a second shutter speed and is capable of capturing up to 9 frames per second in continuous shooting mode.

Probably one of the most interesting additions to Samsung's new flagship mirrorless camera is the tiltable EVF (Electronic Viewfinder) that features a XGA 2,359K-dot resolution and provides an 80-degree tilt, opening a wide range of shooting possibilities.

In addition to that, the camera comes with a fully articulated 76.7mm (3.0-inch) Super AMOLED Swivel and Touch Display that's 70% brighter compared with the one on the NX20.

Furthermore, the NX30 features the latest SMART camera technology, including next-generation Wi-Fi and NFC that allows you to share your photos instantly by pairing the NX30 with any NFC-enabled smartphone with a simple tap on the camera using the Tag&Go function.

MobileLink is another great function found on the NX30 that allows you to send your images to four devices at the same time. With the new Remote Viewfinder Pro app, you will be able to control your Samsung NX30 camera directly from your smartphone or tablet with unprecedented ease.

The video capturing capabilities have also been improved over the previous model, allowing NX30 to capture 1080p Full HD video footage at 60 frames per second. Moreover, the camera comes with a standard 3.5mm microphone input for high-quality audio capture if, by any chance, you are not satisfied with the built-in audio features.

Additionally, the camera has a built-in TTL flash with a Guide Number of 58, 1/200 of a second sync, and is capable of controlling Samsung's off-camera flashes wirelessly.

There's no information at the moment about its price and availability. You can find more details about Samsung's NX30 in the official press release.
