Samsung released a new lens firmware update for its NX2000 and NX300 SMART mirrorless cameras two weeks ago, aimed at improving compatibility with a few lens models as well as fixing a few bugs that prevented the optics from working as intended on these cameras.
The previous version brought a few notable changes to the following lenses: the 18-55mm-I (v1.20), 18-55mm-II_iFn (v1.10), 20-50mm-I (v1.10), 20-50mm-II (v1.00), 20mm (v1.10), 50-200mm-I (v1.20), and 50-200mm-II_iFn (v1.10).
A few days ago, the South Korean electronics maker issued yet another lens firmware version that integrates the last lens fixes and improvements and brings a new build for the Samsung 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 III lens.
The new version improves OIS performance and DMF sense of rotation for the MF (Manual Focus) ring. Moreover, this build adds a new function for NX30 enabling 3 steps control of DMF sensitivity.
