These new lenses were announced at CES 2014 along with the new NX30 mirrorless camera

At CES 2014 we saw a lot of new camera announcements from all important players on the digital camera market. Among them, Samsung introduced the new NX30 mirrorless camera as well as the Galaxy Camera 2 model with lots of new features and improvements.

Besides these two devices, the company also revealed two new optics for interchangeable lens cameras for both premium and low-end consumers, aiming to provide a better alternative for the default kit lens.

At the time of the announcement, the South Korean electronics maker did not disclose the price and availability of these new lenses but, according to AmazonUS, the optics should start shipping in the coming months.

The Samsung NX 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS is now available for pre-order from the AmazonUS online store at a price of $349.99 / €256 and will hit market shelves on April 15. On the other hand, the Samsung NX 16-50mm f/2 - 2.8 S ED OIS will be available starting March 18 and can now be pre-ordered from AmazonUS at a price of $1,299.99 / €952.
