Mobile phone maker Samsung has just announced that its Samsung Media Hub service is offering content from more providers, following the signing of a new agreement with CBS, which joins MTV Networks, NBC Universal, Paramount and Warner Bros, which already offer films and TV programming to owners of Galaxy S smartphone and Galaxy Tab devices.

With Samsung’s Media Hub, users can access various content straight from their mobile devices. The new agreement should enable them to purchase either single episodes or full seasons of hit drama and reality programs from CBS, including “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “NCIS,” “The Good Wife” and “Survivor.”

On Media Hub, users enjoy access to a great collection of movie and next day TV show titles, Samsung notes, adding that it is focused on expanding as much as possible the available lineup through new content licensing agreements.

“Media Hub is vital to Samsung’s mission of creating a premium entertainment experience for our loyal customers who are choosing to make a Galaxy S smartphone, Galaxy Tab, and future Samsung smartphones one of their essential mobile devices,” said Gavin Kim, vice president of content services and enterprise mobility for Samsung Mobile.

“Consumers are enjoying the experience of watching award-winning films and TV shows optimized for our devices and leading screen technology on both our smartphones and mobile tablets.

“We are extremely proud to add CBS to our existing Media Hub agreements with some of the most respected and prolific entertainment companies in the world,” Gavin Kim continued.

Users interested in adding Media Hub content to their Galaxy S smartphones and to the Galaxy Tab tablet PCs can do so very easily, the company notes.

One can access and scan the Media Hub library on their Galaxy devices, being able to choose movies available for rental for $2.99 to $3.99 or purchase for $9.99 to $17.99.

In case there are some interested in the purchase of next day programming, they can do so for as low as $1.99 for TV episodes. However, the price would differ on how new or old the title is.

“In addition, full seasons of TV shows are available to buy from Media Hub. Media Hub customers who purchase content can share that content with five devices enabled with Media Hub at no extra cost,” the company continues.
