South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has just announced the availability of its latest flagship Android device, the Samsung Galaxy S II, on the market in Sweden.

Starting this week, mobile phone users in the country would be able to purchase the new device for around SEK5,490 (USD881), the company unveiled.

The mobile phone was already launched on shelves in the company's home country, South Korea, and also landed in the UK, as well as Australia, and should be launched in more markets soon.

According to Samsung, a total of 120 markets would receive the Galaxy S II smartphone soon, some of them starting with this month.

For the time being, however, the leading mobile phone maker has announced the availability of this smartphone only on shelves in Sweden.

The Samsung Galaxy S II should arrive on the market in the country with all of the usual features, the guys over at Samsung Hub note in a recent article.

The smartphone packs a large 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, complemented by a 1.2GHz dual-core application processor to deliver enhanced performance levels.

Moreover, the new device comes with 1GB of RAM inside, and runs under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, with Samsung's TouchWiz UI 4.0 on top of it.

Other specs of Galaxy S II would also include HSPA+ 21Mbps connectivity, complemented by Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, WiFi Hotspot, NFC (Near Field Communications), DLNA, or a built-in GPS receiver.

On the back, the mobile phone would sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash, auto focus and full HD video recording and playback. It is powered by a1650mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S II comes with support for a wide range of Google Mobile Services, including Search, Maps, YouTube, Gtalk, Gmail, and more, as well as with access to the Android Market, from where users can download and install various applications.
