Samsung is already fighting Apple in the court of law over alleged patent infringement, but it appears that it is set to bring the battle to a whole now level with the latest ad campaign it kicked off for its Samsung Galaxy S II.

The handset vendor is openly mocking the Apple device, both via a new video ad, which can be seen embedded below, as well as through a series of sketches published on its Facebook page.

What Samsung claims is the supremacy of its Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, which is both larger and faster than the latest iPhone model.

“What are you waiting for? The next big thing is already here,” Samsung says.

In the said video ad, Samsung touts some of the capabilities that the new device comes with in comparison with what the iPhone 4S includes.

There is a bigger screen, which means a great experience when viewing videos while on the go, along with faster connectivity options.

“Why don't you get a 4G phone?” a girl holding a Samsung phone asks people waiting in line for the new iPhone.

Of course, there is also the punch line that is meant to hit Apple fanboys: “I can't get a Samsung… I'm creative.” Add the “if it looks the same, how would people know I've upgraded” phrase into the mix, and you'll get the whole picture.

Even more, on its Facebook page, Samsung places its Galaxy S II device in the “cutting edge” section, while putting the iPhone in the “old school” category.

With all the issues that users have had with the antenna in iPhone 4 and with the Siri service in the new model, Samsung might seem entitled to claim superiority of its device.

However, just as one person notes in a comment to the video ad below, Samsung might not win iPhone users to its side by mocking them, although the clip is meant to hit mainly the device, and not people.

Have a look at the said commercial and let us know what you think of it in the comments section below.
