South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics has reportedly unveiled officially a new music handset for its users, namely the Samsung M5650 Lindy. The new device has been already spotted into the wild before, and some of you might have learned already that it is said to be in a way the successor of the Corby S3650, or at least to resemble a lot the phones that Samsung included in the Corby line.

According to mobile-review, the new Samsung M5650 Lindy, which comes to the market with a touchscreen display, has been unveiled as the latest music phone from the South Korean handset vendor. Beside some specs that place the new device close to the Corby line, there are also specific features for a music handset, including external control keys, MP3 player, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headset jack.

The specifications list of the device further includes a 2.8 inch QVGA display, a 3-megapixel photo snapper, USB 2.0, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, support for GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and 3.5G (HSDPA 7.2 Mbit / sec) frequencies and 50MB of internal memory coupled with a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, all inside a device that measures 106 x 57 x 12 mm and weighs in at 98 grams.

At the same time, the new Samsung M5650 Lindy is also said to sport social networking connectivity, including support for networks like Bebo, Fotki, Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket, Youtube, Picasa, MySpace, Friendster. Uploading photos and videos on the web is an easy task with this handset, and the same applies to staying connected to friends and family via e-mail and instant messaging, it seems.

Considering that it should arrive on shelves with a price tag set at only 149 Euros, the new mobile phone seems to be a quite appealing option, one should agree. The new Samsung M5650 Lindy is currently available for purchase in Portugal, it seems, and it is also expected to soon arrive in a wider range of markets around Europe, as well as in some from Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa, India and China.
