It appears that Samsung Canada confirmed that the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet will arrive in the country some time in July via various stores.

Furthermore, it seems that the 3G version of the device will be available for purchase in August from multiple Canadian carriers, including Rogers, Telus and Bell.

There are no further details regarding the price tag of the tablet, but the Wi-Fi only version will probably be out for around $400 (taxes excluded), while the 3G version will be $100 more expensive.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the thinner version of the original Galaxy Tab 10.1v, which was showcased at the 2011 Mobile World Congress, back in February.

Apparently Samsung decided that the tablet needs a redux when it comes to size, weights and hardware to make it more competitive on the market.

Obviously, the main reason for Samsung's decision was the launch of iPad 2, which is now a standard that every rival takes into consideration before launching its products on the market.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 measures 256.6 x 172.9 x 8.6 mm, which makes it 2.3mm thinner than the Galaxy Tab 10.1v model.

Even though it's only 5g lighter than the Galaxy Tab 10.1v, at 595g, it comes with Android 3.1 out-of-the-box and features TouchWiz UX UI on top.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 is equipped with a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor (ULP GeForce GPU), but there's a high chance that the 3G version will be delivered with a different 1.2 GHz Exynos CPU.

Another difference between the two 10.1-inch tablets is the main camera. While the Galaxy Tab 10.1v boasts a superior 8-megapixel camera, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 features only a mediocre 3-megapixel photo snapper.

According to the guys over at MobileSyrup, several accessories will also be available at launch, such as a hardcover case, a Bluetooth keyboard and a keyboard dock.
