Samsung Galaxy Portal is yet another Android-based mobile phone that is now available for purchase for more users in the UK. The handset has been just released on 3UK, and those interested in it can already head over to the carrier's website to place an order on it. According to the company, the Samsung Galaxy Portal is set to begin shipping on April 7 and can be purchased for free on a £20 per month plan that will also give users unlimited internet, texts and 200 anytime any network minutes.

The new mobile phone sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, 160 MB of internal memory, expandable to up to 32GB via MicroSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and 3G connectivity options, built-in GPS receiver, video and audio players, browser, email and messaging features, as well as a battery that can offer up to 448 hours of talk time. The handset measures 13.2 x 115 x 57 mm and weighs in at 124 g.

Other features of the device include Layar - the augmented reality browser, which can “bring the world around you to life,” as the carrier notes. The Samsung Galaxy Portal sports a wide range of pre-loaded applications, including Facebook, Windows Live Messenger, Skype, Email, Spotify, Google Maps and Google Mail, and also comes with access to the Android Market, where users will find even more apps available for download for their device. The handset can be seen on 3UK's website here. Beside the pay monthly offering, the carrier has the device available for purchase on Pay As You Go plans as well, priced at £199.99. The Samsung Galaxy Portal can be acquired in red & black or white & green.
