Samsung introduced the successor of the award-winning Galaxy camera right before the start of the CES 2014 show in Las Vegas back in January, revealing the new and improved features over its predecessor's.

According to AndroidOS, the South Korean manufacturer has just announced the new Galaxy Camera 2 for the Indian market at the Samsung Forum 2014 in Bali.

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 packs a 16.3MP BSI CMOS sensor, a more powerful 1.6GHz quad-core processor (1.4GHz previously) and double the memory of the original Galaxy Camera (2GB of RAM). In addition to that, it features a generous 121.2mm (4.8-inch) HD Super Clear Touch LCD Screen display and the same 23-483mm (35mm equivalent) f/2.8-5.9 21x optical zoom lens.

Besides the new Android 4.3 OS, the camera's software also comes with a few tweaks to better integrate with various apps like Photo Beam, Remote Viewfinder, Tag & Go, Smart Mode Suggest, Mobile Link, Selfie Alarm, and Multi-motion video.

Pricing and availability for Galaxy Camera 2 are yet to be announced for the Indian market. In the US, the camera is priced at $449.99 / ₹28,000 and will be available starting March 1.
